Offender? Or Offended?
Someone has offended you, it is true! That person has wronged you. You are praying to be able to forgive the offender but within you, you wish the person could go through 'something similar' so he/she could understand what you are going through.
You are praying to God. Your offender is also praying to God to take his/her guilt away. Both of you are praying to the same God, for two different things, in fact two opposite things.
What happens? Who does God listen to? It is funny, isn't it? That is the reason why you should be able to forgive the offender.
Offender! That is why you should be able to ask for forgiveness and also to have and show great remorse for what you did. You also have to do your best to make up with the offended.
