his desire...her desire..one desire
And one day,
She wants to look into her husband's eyes and say:
Thank you for making 'wifehood' a pleasure.
Knowing very well that God does not force partners on people, she prays fervently about her partner and watches carefully. She eventually makes a single choice out of the lot on spiritual basis and direction.
She and her choice become great friends and they know that close friends are committed to the success of each other. Nonetheless they never forget that PERSONAL WHOLENESS IS CRUCIAL. They make their own lives better each day. They ensure that their purpose, dreams and aspirations are not short-lived. They both work on their education or careers as well.
One key thing is that, these two people start paying attention to the spiritual aspect of their relationship very early. They do not neglect this aspect, neither do they wait till it is too late. Moreover, they are aware that they need to have separate personal relationships with too. They work on this daily and consciously.
In their relationship, they believe in and prioritize INTIMACY OF SPIRIT AND MIND rather than intimacy of the body. They know what to do and what not to do. They have respect, love, care and concern for each other.
Finally, they decide to make vows and promises to each other before God, family and friends. BUT they know that A WEDDING IS JUST AN EVENT WHEREAS MARRIAGE IS A LIFE. Before this event, they go through series of teachings and they also take the initiative to do personal studies on marriage. These two people see marriage to be final and there is no exit once they enter into it.
These two individuals that have become ONE invest all these and more into their marriage because they know that their biological children and even others who look up to them deserve to live in a family environment that is SPIRITUALLY, emotionally and financially stable. They unknowingly evangelize to other people with their marriage, lives and comportment.
And with all these, indeed, he can look deeply into his wife's eyes and say... Thank you for making 'husbandhood' a pleasure.
